In the far north of Seychelles there is a magical place called Bird Island. Here, on a coral outcrop that measures barely 700 square metres, there is rarely a moment of silence as calls from more than 20 species of sea birds fill the air. From May to October, the noise intensifies and the sky erupts as over a million sooty terns fly in to the island to nest.
